Janel Harting, MD

Dr. Janel Harting is originally from Derby, Kansas. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a medical degree in 2004, and in the following years she completed her residency at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine in Wichita and her fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University Of Nebraska School Of Medicine. Dr. Harting returned to Wichita to practice in 2010, and co-founded Pulmonary and Sleep Consultants of Kansas in 2011.

Dr. Harting is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.  She is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Harting enjoys all aspects of pulmonary medicine, but she especially likes working with patients with asthma, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis. She is currently the adult program director for the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at Via Christi.

Dr. Harting is an avid traveler. She has had the opportunity to visit many different countries and make friends around the world. She has recently become certified in scuba diving and has spent her free time exploring the reefs near the Caribbean islands.
